My Qualifications

Professional and Volunteer Work

Sometimes just talking about my adoration for animals is not enough to understand the weight and level of my experience. Therefore, I’ve outlined some of my professional background for you to explore below.

Fort Mcmurray S.P.C.A Employee

June 1987 - January 1989

Started Volunteering that turned to employment. My specialty was working with scared abused pets Helping them become social & adoptable. Worked closely with the veterinarians, nursing sick pets back to health and gave vaccinations. Left the S.P.C.A and went to work at P.J.s Pet center, but came back and became the Special constable, until 1997. Handled animal cruelty, School educations, and organized many fund raising events. Attended many seminars on Animal cruelty, husbandry, and Animal behavior & training.
Also took in injured wild animals nursing them back to health.

Pet Store Employee

Feb 1989 - May 1990

 Worked in the Dog, Cat, Bird and reptile departments at P.J.s. Pet Center. Took many seminars in Animal husbandry.

Certified Pet stylist

April 1997 - to date

Became a Certified Pet stylist through an accredited vocational Grooming School. Since then I have taken many Grooming seminars, and like to keep up to date with education.


Through the years I still volunteered at the Fort Murray S.P.C.A by Grooming Pet in need to help them find loving homes.

My late husband and I also did monthly nail clipping clinics where all Proceeds went to the S.P.C.A to help care for all the pets in need.


Became a master Dog behaviorist/trainer in 2014 at an certified accredited school.

Have Pet C.P.R.

​

I also use & are accredited in Tellington TTouch (a topical massage) it keeps our fur friends calm, comfortable & happy wile being groomed.
